Bardic Love

In love there is no loneliness
As thoughts of lust dare to voice want
Above a dream in licentiousness
With trust replacing words of won’t
A bard thus writes his words of love
For one who took hold of his heart
The shards of verse that come alive
When for her he will bear the hurt
The ink his blood upon her page
As words express his hidden needs
No thinking now as his lips purge
The sexual bliss of fleshy nodes
Touched with hearts pounding like a drum
For such is love’s poetic dream

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
