Texte: What yo’ gwine t’ do when de lamp burn down

What Yo’ Gwine T’ Do? By Anon

Are we alone now as the lights go down
And your kiss overwhelms my sense of self
Like lovers fresh from a night on the town
Where nothing exists except you and me
In that moment there is no greater wealth
When love is the only thing we can see
To sate the hunger of wanting too much
As arms embrace to draw us deep within
Lost in a kiss, the most intimate touch
I softly whisper your name on a sigh
You’re mine, I’m yours as it has always been
For this is a love no soul can deny
Are we alone now as the lights go down
To sate the hunger of wanting too much

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
