Age Gap

Time has no meaning in the bliss of love
Love, that state of being I give to you
You and I alone know what I speak of
Of the sweet secrets shared between us two
Two spirits joined as one in heart and mind
Mindful of each and every moment
Moments that only together we find
Finding this, our love that is heaven sent
Scented words, that speak gently through the heart
Heartfelt intentions to capture our dream
Dreams of love found us at the very start
Starting together as a united team
Teamwork as we learned the mountains to climb
Climbing across the distant gap of time

Liberation

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

My words on paper fail to ease the pain
As memories flow like tears on a page
Mere words will never bring her back again
One more lesson in the wisdom of age
A deafening silence now surrounds me
No more laughter echoing through the room
No more is it her loving smile I see
To comfort me when my mind’s lost in gloom
Yet even so I know her love was mine
As was the touch that healed my crying soul
And soon enough the sun will come to shine
As I wake to the kiss that makes me whole
When nightmare dreams have cast their evil spell
Only she can save me from the sleep fueled hell

The Love of Pan

f379c51acff5119442c52072fac4c8a3

When it comes to love
whom should we choose
and how do we choose
what makes a woman a better choice
than a man
or vice versa
surely the answer is neither
when the brain is capable
of so much more than physical touch
responds to so much more than physical touch
a brief thought
a few words
turn sex into power
the power of erotic flight
sex and physical lust
just a meaningless fuck
on a bed of emptiness
when the sensations of sensual thought
lay discarded
as want rejects desire
sacrificed to the ease of
instant gratification

Taking Control

The truth of heart and truth of gods
Whispers inside the soul
Only heard when life is at odds
Invisible that makes me whole
Mere words cannot describe
This thing the mind cannot control
Echoes of truth I dare to hear
To stand with pride and face the fear
To walk away from calls of tribe
That declares truth is wrong
Deny their words, refuse the bribe
So I can sing aloud my song
My life and it’s my way
For today I have become strong

The Void

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

The world seems empty when I am alone
Unable to feel her lips kissing mine
The colder winds bite deep into the bone
And time and thought unable to align
When the heart is absent from love’s embrace
Alone, I’m out of sorts and out of place

Sweetest love beats not for a poet’s muse
Yet still the feelings flow within his ink
It often seems his pen can pick and choose
Echoes of lost time that force him to think
But sooner love should give his words their sage
Than memories frozen upon a page

Cannonades of Summer

A chilled breath creeps across the green
A feeling words left unexplained
Its closing in yet still unseen
A chilled breath creeps across the green
And the air feels dry and unclean
Like the ground its burned and stained
A chilled breath creeps across the green
A feeling words left unexplained
The sky darkens to set the scene
A chilled breath creeps across the green
The single raindrop cold and mean
Before the clouds crash unrestrained
A chilled breath creeps across the green
A feeling words left unexplained

Disquietude

A closed heart holds the darkest secrets near
Yet still its broken when love turns to pain
There is no wall against truth’s deepest fear
A closed heart holds the darkest secrets near
Alone with words that bring no warmth or cheer
The soulless promise now a weighted chain
A closed heart holds the darkest secrets near
Yet still its broken when love turns to pain
When I felt you turn away from me, dear
A closed heart holds the darkest secrets near
Illusions lost with the last weeping tear
Again I must learn to dance in the rain
A closed heart holds the darkest secrets near
Yet still its broken when love turns to pain

I think of You

I think of you
every song on the radio
whispers your name
and I’m kissing you
as the earth drifts away
into desert heat
I look into your eyes
searching for my oasis
the respite to quench my thirst
like rain on a summer’s day
and all because
I think of you

Breaking the Rule

the sacred act of love
intimacy hidden in
dark shrouds of passion
a chore to endure
by word of marriage law
after solemn vow
the shaming of love
perversion of pure feeling
the shame is on them
words softly spoken
whisper ‘I love you’ as lips
unite in a kiss
no pausing for thought
love; the one truth that matters
it’s never a crime

Riding the Waves

Cruelly torn from love’s tantalizing kiss
The rage of passion burns beneath my skin
It feeds on pleasure gasping from your lips
As my tongue flickers softly on your flesh
I watch you writhing possessed by desire
How slow the touch comes when it’s all you need
A little longer; let me enjoy you
Let me feel the agony of my lust
The pain of want sweetly tears me apart
But I crave to see your sensual delight
With your eyes revealing to me your soul
Only then I surrender to my want
In that secret place where we both fly free
So high on the waves of love’s ecstasy

Angelic Flame

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Her eyes sparkle bright
And that sparkle is just for me
That gaze of an angel’s light
But there is something else I see
A glimmer of mischief I want to set free

Her smile stirs inside
Me the demon hidden within
A man who will not be denied
The pleasure of making her mind spin
When a kiss releases the firing pin

A kiss joins us in love
As I whisper aloud her name
She is the one I dreamed of
The sprite I cannot hope to tame
Yet she burns in me, my Flame

And when I hold her safe in my arms
The truth must be said
For all my worldly ways and charms
As we lay together on the crumpled bedspread
She holds me safe instead

Passing Ship

releasing_the_beast

I sought the moment in her eyes
while denying the turmoil inside my mind
my voice coaxing her forward
daring her to reach oblivion
all for the precious freedom
locked in the glowing aftermath of sex
embraced in serenity and carnal destruction
yet still my soul felt alone
isolated from desire
rejected by love
with that inner voice mocking me
as I silently walked away
into the night
before she could ask more than my name

Phantasm

The garden has lost its beautiful rose
And so the sky has lost its brightest star
As this emptiness echoes near and far
My life without you; fear the worst of foes
Echoes that speak only in evil dreams
To open the weary scars of the past
The nightmare that a love can never last
And as I sleep I hear only my screams
Yet wretched with pain I feel my lover’s touch
The gentle hand to ease my mind to fight
Against the haunting visions in my sight
I am returned; the one I love so much
She alone holds the key to set me free
From dreams that dare to steal my liberty

Purple Tease

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Inside my heart is her domain of love
The kingdom she has made her very own
And I give her my all and more thereof

My queen I placed upon the secret throne
As kisses soothed the rage of burning tears
And yearning echoed through flesh and bone

In her eyes I see all her joys and fears
As words of love whisper the sense of ease
For within the silence the heart still hears

My queen surrenders all upon her knees
Yet she rules my heart I’m her guiding hand
In the purple tones of sensual tease

Beltane Rise

They share the sky at early morn
A god and goddess joined again
As birds sing welcome to the dawn
And dew feels soft like summer rain

The grass leaves gentle kisses here
Upon the feet of roaming stag
He seeks the love to bring him cheer
His eyes searching for springtide’s flag

She dances on the few-kissed ground
With silky blossoms in her hair
Her rhythm spirals round and round
A lover’s pulse across the air

The sun shines higher in the sky
Energy rising to the chase
And hooves and fee, they ask not why
They run until they reach that place

His passion fueled by hidden lust
As sinews burn to draw her in
The Beltane dawns in love and trust
The fated dance must now begin

Inspiration

You asked me what takes hold my heart in bliss
Eloquent words describe the joy in me
The one thing that sets my soul to fly free
To feel your lips as they move in a kiss
In love there is nothing more true than this
Forevermore I need the gentle touch
That inspires my heart to want so much
To feel your lips as they move in a kiss
On lonely nights as my dreams reminisce
Of sensuous nights we’ve spent making love
In shared passion others dare not speak of
I feel your lips as they move in a kiss
You asked me what takes hold my heart in bliss
To feel your lips as they move in a kiss

Chrome Reflections

The dew drops mingle with the scented foam,
As foaming orchid kisses trace desire.
She sees my desire reflected in chrome
The falling chrome rain cannot quench our fire,
That same flaming fire that guides my need home
Home; where teased kisses play upon her lyre
As lyre strings vibrate like a honeyed comb
I succumb to the thoughts of her desire.
My one desire to ease her wanton need
In latent streams of need that twist and flow
Where flowing movement feeds the hunger so.
So love demands that we sate lusting greed
In greedy torrent waters we renew
Our knowing passion so long overdue

Seduction

My pulse is racing
my fingers tracing
the curve of her spine
enticing me with words
to go a bit further
discover her story
beneath the sheets
to find the history
she’s shrouded in mystery
as she enchants me
to read between the lines
of her intimacy
and so I turn the page
of a bloody good book

Natural Rhythm

When I listen to the earth ‘neath my feet
I hear the echo of an ancient time
Of lives before I came to write in rhyme
The call of nature’s spiritual beat
Upon the shore as the day and night meet
Amid the breaking of the salty waves
I feel it; the rhythm that my soul craves
The call of nature’s spiritual beat
At nightfall as the air cools in retreat
Again the ways of old begin anew
As fresh as any early morning dew
The call of nature’s spiritual beat
A Pagan born; in this I am complete
The call of nature’s spiritual beat

Battlefield

After the glory of a battle won
The soldier stands with blood staining his hands
His weary eyes gazing over the lands
And the dead lay beneath the blazing sun
He lowers his head, his soul gripped with pain
For the lives lost in the victory’s quest
As he prays the fallen will now find rest
In their memory may new peace remain
A defiant act to the thugs of war
That call for death for the innocent men
Who serve with honour in the field and glen
While always knocking the Reaper’s door
For the soldier, it is not he that wins
He pays the price of another man’s sins

Lines of Time

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Old fashioned days and turning wheels
Over the hills adventures start
Innocent smiles in childhood squeals
Memories made for words of art.

A poet’s mind lost in the past
Old fashioned days and turning wheels
The time of youth can never last
Yet from this time his pen still steals.

Each passing year the ink reveals
An echo from a far off place
Old fashioned days and turning wheels
The lines of time drawn on his face

From boyhood to being a man
He remembers all that he feels
Through his own life his thoughts thus scan
Old fashioned days and turning wheels

As Words Fall Silent

A gentle kiss that seems to stroke the skin
As barely felt as a feathered caress
So tender it wakens the soul within
As from the noisy world two hearts digress
A whispered word that begs to kiss ’til morn
The tender sound that sets our nerves in flame
Long held beliefs in love’s certainty dawn
With a reality that knows no shame
Yet in a kiss two hearts beat wild and free
As souls meet then as one being entwine
Our dreams revealed our love to you and me
How could we know we would touch the divine?
No more words are said as we now embrace
One single kiss and love has found its place

Confusion

Discretion and denial
hiding self within her flesh
losing unanswered wondering
within the embraces of passion
I wanted it to be enough
like a final solution
to inner pain of gender confusion
– forgive me for burying my truth within words
the words of intimate love
the linguistic torment and cries of pleasure
without resolution

Night Muse

While I was wandering through loneliness
Where once my trust had met with phoniness
I heard you whisper as day turned to night
Your gentle calling my heart’s guiding light
As inside the darkness you took my hand
The delicate love I needed so much
Unleashing my tears with the softest touch
And slowly my mind came to understand
On my own our love remains in my dreams
Inside my mind caught by a nightmare’s screams
Instead I grasp the hand you offered me
I’m stepping out into the sunshine beams
To know your love from darkness I must break
To your embrace where my soul can awake

Promised Kiss

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

The dew drop glistens like a promised kiss
inviting me to peel away the night
and savour her flavour until dawn light
for with love her heart is exposed to bliss.
The teasing whispers cross the abyss
when in the darkness where our lips caress
her petals fall in a state of undress
then with love her heart is exposed to bliss.
Alone does her mind like mine reminisce
of moments we explored the night as one
with promised kisses that took down the sun
as our love exposed our hearts to sweet bliss.
The dew drop glistens at my promised kiss
as once more I expose her love to bliss.

The Guiding Line

A man has a rule by which he lives by
A guiding line that keeps him to his path
Yet still he falls into the aftermath
His honour lost within the tears that cry
Somehow he builds his life again, from what?
The shards of pain as that’s all he has got
He’ll hold to his rule until he comes to die
And as a man I know the reason why
I have my rule that keeps my spirit strong
As it leads me through life even when wrong
And I have to find a new way to try
My golden rule held deep inside my soul
And it echoes round me keeping me whole
My rule is love, and one I must apply

On the Night Wind

1am. The world is silent
my thoughts entombed in silence
expressed on the screen
in never ending lines of desire.

Fingers dancing on keys
to the music of imaginations
and visualisations that play out
in my mind
where you are beside me
and I can feel your lips caressing my skin.

The muse she is tempting me
write the intimacy to awaken my senses
that hunger for your presence
and my tongue flashes over my lips
seeking your sweetness
while my want intensifies as I peer into the night
that lingers outside my window
and I imagine it is your breath sleeping on the wind.

6am. I pull off my shirt exposing
my skin to the early morning breeze
that is your breath
caressing my flesh
inviting me to sleep
and find you in my dreams.

Latte’s Lament

I watched him frown into her tearful eyes
As I sat alone with a coffee cup
I watched as in silence they both stood up
Instead I was hearing your anguished sighs
From the heated words we shared late last night
A bitter exchange that must be put right
I promised you once there would be no lies
And pleasure the reason I’d hear your cries
Yet sorry is the hardest word to say
And I need to say it so much today
Admitting I am wrong may not be wise
But babe I hurt you and deserve the flack
Whatever it takes to win your heart back
For now, I know love’s truth wears no disguise

A Closed Door

The silent tears that nobody saw cry
As deep within a soul just wished to die
Unspoken the words that voiced so much pain
Of a heart broken again and again
Self-loathing thoughts can never be said
When no feelings remain to be confessed
How can the hidden truth ever be expressed
When the heart wishes that its own soul were dead
But to die would be to surrender all
Without taking a chance; making that call
Never daring to open that closed door
Free from behind the self-made prison wall
To reach for the dreams that echoed before
And showed you that life could be so much more

Where the Bluebells Grow

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

If I could borrow an hour of your time
Would you then join me where the bluebells grow
So I may hold you in the pale spring light
I want you to grasp me, holding me tight
As your body tells me what our words know
And like the water caressing the lime
Let our passion flow like a babbling brook
As love concedes to the desirous look
And as we kiss may our lips then reveal
The secrets we hold where our souls entwine
No more words as all we can do is feel
Intense interactions never undone
As now we embrace the power we share
The love that brings us together as one

The Bird Flies

Umbrellas by Karl Scheich

We stand in line, waiting our turn as one
By one we reach the ticket office door
And the rain pours down where there once was sun
The brollies open like never before
For the show will go on no matter what
They all want to see a diva perform
For the last time she will take them by storm
Her voice once more giving all she has got
For tonight is it; her very last show
After all her years of taking the stage
She is moving on; it is time to go
As the rain pours down where there once was sun
We stand in line, waiting our turn as one
She breaks free from fame that has been her cage

And without you I lay awake
At night distance too much to bear
As all my senses dare to ache

Your lips as when they first met mine
That is when the truth took its place
That I am yours in love divine

Waking up with you but
my heart didn’t want to
wake up yet
I didn’t want to say goodbye yet
to hold on to the wonder
of lustful love a little longer
as I feel you soft sleeping breath
draw over my chest
a brief moment before
your eyes open
to kiss me goodbye
leaving me with coffee for solace
as the pleasure of the night before
meets the searing pain of a morning goodbye

Shattered Love

I walk the stony ground wrought in life’s pain
That echoes the tales of a broken heart
My tears lay lost in the rivers of rain
That mirror the sorrow inside my soul
Yet mere words have no thought on where to start
No solace nor comfort of joyful parole
For lines of poetry hold no caress
To bring love’s warmth against the winter cold
Yet now they utter the deepest distress
In thoughts the soul dares never to speak of
Of a lover who feels not brave nor bold
For his heart torn apart by shattered love
No solace nor comfort of joyful parole
For his heart torn apart by shattered love

Sleight of Hand

It’s mind over matter this sleight of hand
Simple illusions that deceive the eye
But it’s never easy to understand
As the man in a black suit casts a lie
Silently stunned so we never ask why
The speed of hand faster than what we see
And nothing’s what we perceive it to be
But love also draws us into its spell
A mystic power that demands we yield
To the needs of the heart so all is well
If only we lower that defensive shield
Seeking perfection in an imperfect field
Yet now love will find its own place to grow
But unlike magician I know not how

Changing Direction

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

When the wise talk of love is it a dream
And do they dance beneath that moonlit beam
Just like you and I as we kiss goodnight
To hold the moment of love’s sweet delight
In a courtship that leads us to the heart
A prelude to the passion we behold
The beautiful gift granted to the bold
As we bear the pain of being apart
Yet still we can feel as exalted souls
The closeness in life but changes the roles
We play; and only the brave face that day
When a man must change his vision and goals
For her love; love, it’s more than a cliché
It’s the dream that was ne’er that far away

The Magic

Only lovers share the true secrets of love that touch the soul
The mystery hidden betwixt stars and moon
And none may know why a simple kisses make two lovers whole
Yet witness the magic of the sacred rune
A silent whisper that called two hearts to always beat as one
In the knowledge that love is forever true
For Fate has cast her magic and it can never be undone
As a one kiss sealed love between me and you
In the spell of destiny, we must learn to let feelings show
To touch the moonlight where our journey began
For it is in each embrace our love can only grow
To soar the open skies upon this sweet ecstatic wingspan
Once kissed, never forgotten in this, the magic I speak of
There lies the secret, the secret known only to true love

A Writer’s Philosophy

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Texte: A novel is never anything, but a philosophy put into images – Albert Camus

A brief moment of thought caught in a book
An author’s ideals that hide in the tale
Dear reader, take a deeper look, just look
A writer’s dream is there, offered for sale
Behind jumbled words that act as a veil
The hopes of the future or is it fear
Each word a hammer hitting on a nail
A beckoning voice that whispers ‘Come here’
In tense narrative that a chapter shook
The thrill is the telling, make no mistook

Love Grown Up

Such folly is the love I felt before
A foolish boy obsessed by passion’s lust
How easy those words slipped from the tongue then
In truth a man’s hunger is so much more
Yet only given with respect and trust
Those words of love don’t fall so easy now
I beg forgive me for mistakes made when
I was young, and so wild and cocksure
So love may grow as surely it now must
For your desire my heart can only yen
As I learn the ways of loving somehow
To be the man, the only man you need
As I learn the ways of loving somehow
I want to be the only man you need

Sir you do not represent me
when your actions lead to another war
not in my name
are the bombs dropped on civilians
not in my name
the murder of another child
not in my name
do you understand me
not in my name
shall you cause pain and suffering
not in my name
the destruction of my nation
as yet again you show you have no honour
no integrity
no Sir you do not represent me
when you and your kind bring nothing but shame

Trial by Rumour

Silently they gossip with nodding heads
And hidden secrets appear on display
While the victim stands with his soul in shreds
With his thoughts torn by the all-knowing eye
In the parlour of old-fashioned decay
Where even the innocent can but cry
Their trial by rumour with sentence passed
No words can be offered in self defence
The old ladies certain unto the last
That only they know all like witches do
But stay quiet my son, do not be tense
For soon they will forget all about you
Silently they gossip with nodding heads
Their trial by rumour with sentence passed

Within Love

The deep blue oceans are not wide enough
To keep my heart from always feeling you
For there can be no boundaries on love
As hearts can only beat when they are free
To embrace the power of all that’s true
There, in our love, my eyes begin to see
The beauty held solely within your kiss
For you are my first, last, and only one
To drive my senses to that deep abyss
Where the spirit leaps out into the night
To awaken the early morning sun
Whilst still dancing in the shards of moonlight
There, in our love, my eyes begin to see
The beauty held solely within your kiss

Approaching Thunder

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

As the sky grows weary and
the slow clouds laden with rain
rumble ever closer to where we
wait for the last bus
unprotected from the coming storm
a brief flash and for a
moment the world is bright in whiteness
and my eyes see desperation perspiring
from your skin and I take the chance
to kiss your fear

Immortal Words

The first time I said the words ‘I love you’
Forever seemed a vast expanse of time
Immortal like words captured in a rhyme
But it’s no time at all between we two
The truest words uttered every day
From the moment the alarm rang its chime
First spoken then shown in a kissing mime
For love is shared in all every way
In that last kiss before we say goodnight
‘I love you’ sends the heart to rest sublime
For now, I think “we are” instead of “I’m”
And as my eyes close they hold you in sight
Forever seemed a vast expanse of time
Immortal like words captured in a rhyme

Endurance

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Throbbing engines engaged with wheels
After the straight smoking brake squeals
On thunder road the battle done
Man and machine fighting as one
Demons of speed foot to the floor
Excited the crowd calls for more
Thrusting forward ripping through gears
Behind the wheel can be no fears
Fuming exhausts hitting the drag
Screeching speed past the chequered flag
The war over in commotion
A winner’s tears show emotion
His body wrecked through endurance
But the machine has left the dance

Sensual Sedition

I want to feel you shiver as my tongue lingers
here and there
just briefly on your neck
as my fingers unfasten the zip
slowly pushing the fabric aside
revealing your shoulders
and my lips travel over
licking trails around your neck line
lingering too long at your throat
and the vampyric growl as I pull back
turning you round so I can feast
on the skin of your back
and my fingers caress
pulling the fabric to your elbows
releasing your body
restricting your arms
and my lips keep moving over your shoulders
as fingers free you further
as the clasps falls away
fingers replace fabric
in teasing spirals over your nipples
and I wait kissing your back
tormenting gentleness spiced with painful pinches
slow sensual sedition
I can feel your hunger
as my fingers tighten
letting go to turn you round again
daring you see into my eyes
the look that shows no mercy
before my mouth descends to your nipple
a warming solace where fingers brought torment
soothing until the grip of those fingers
tighten the other side
pushing back against the cold wall
and the juxtaposition of senses begins
my desire – your surrender
for tonight
I am taking what is mine

For My White Rose

379976792_1befd6c31e

Soft the petals of my rose that draws
a thought through time
so close yet distant beyond mortal reach
doors closed never to reopen
for the Earth lost her magic
on a last breath
no questions
no answers
just words flowing from a pen
unspoken and unheard
whispers on the winter winds
yet dark wings must rise
and meet the dawn
so like a snowflake the white petal falls
back into time
and still I miss you

Sound Bite Politics

Government of austerity
with a minor majority
unheard voices shout
“TORY SCUM OUT”
feet pounding on a city streets
a pulsing rhythm
echoed line by line
we’re in it together
disabled men vilified
for serving the state
in the wars of political chaos
words, meaningless and empty
another broken promise
in a manifesto of lies
poverty the new black
as the bitch in her grave smiles
unsilenced the voice of resistance
says we’re in it alone

Sonnet for TDOR

Transgender-Day-Of-Remembrance

Transgender-Day-Of-Remembrance

Today we honoured all those lost to hate
The lives stolen before their time was due
And for them the day is now far too late
Yet in their name we build a better view
No more hiding behind the closet door
Denying self to please the social right
No going back to how it was before
We stand proud in the silent vigil light
Another name enters our humble thoughts
Another death that must not be in vain
We live in a world with folk of all sorts
Yet hate can still leave an unwelcome stain
We shall rise up from tears and stand above
For all those we’ve lost and all those we love

Queen of Night

Texte: In spite of all that beauty may disown – William Wordsworth

Despite the worst of me I feel her love
A gentle kiss that stole my lonely tears
To ease my mind from storms that rage above
The night; yet still her hand calmed all my fears
Oh sweet the love that brings me to moonlight
To dance amid the cold November rain
Daring me to believe in love again
And cast aside the shadows of the night
Release the heartbreak where the lightning struck
And take the hand that holds the hidden ace
She came when thunder roared a tempest’s ruck
To ease my mind from storms that rage above
Despite the worst of me I feel her love
My queen of night holds me in her embrace
