Hint of Love

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Texte: Your voice skipped and paused like a pencil
                                                             Spain by Major Jackson

The whisper that gently caressed my ear
It flicks the switch to turn up the heat
The softest touch that makes me slowly melt
A kiss; the taste of her that draws me near
Can she feel the rhythm of my heart beat
With senses searing like a burning welt
And does she hear me calling out her name
As love demands I admit this defeat
And surrender to the pleasure I’ve felt
No longer can we be playing a game
Cards dealt

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
