Questions in the Dark

Sweet love of mine, within my dark world shine
And be the one to dry my face of tears
In this desolate world can you be mine
When I’m surrendered to the hidden fears
Can I break free of these darkened spheres
That held me lost too long; too many years
I have known feelings of rage in disgrace
And it is mine and mine alone to face
For I cannot love in this unkind place
There is nowhere to run, nowhere to go
And pain echoes loud in every space
And I wonder if I will ever know
Or will I fade into what lies beyond
Can love ever release me from this bond?

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
