The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Empty
Watching the sea
As the sun breaks the dawn
Waiting for the tourists to come
Summer

Cool breeze
The children gone
Old-timers seeing peace
In the quietness of evenings
Autumn

Distant
Sinews frozen
While waves batter the shore
Crashing down on silent pebbles
Winter

Wet paint
A new coat shines
Anticipation builds
For children are coming to play
Spring

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
