Natural Love

They say our love is not nature’s intent
Hypocritical words that spread the hate
As they call a god who cannot prevent
Our love; the love that makes us you and me
Yet it’s you and me who must integrate
Or question if our love will ever be free
For in my heart I know our love is pure
As no matter what others do or say
It is a truth I know and know for sure
So I will love you openly and out
And I’ll say it until my dying day
For in this, our love, I can never doubt
Or question if our love will ever be free
For in my heart I know our love is pure

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
