Shadows of Dawn

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Each morning she walks
Through trees that surround the park
In silence she gathers up
The dew covered wisps
Of mist that mingle with thoughts
Amid the shadows of dawn
Her spirit wanders
From here to there and returns
Once more to hide among trees
Never once her feet
Tread upon the dampened ground
Yet grass bows as she passes
Honouring the love
That she knew so long ago
In shades of the wild forest

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
