Silent Voice

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

As the evening shadows commune
We hear the music of falling night
And so we dance here beneath the moon
Two lovers seeking the heart’s delight
Your hand in mine daring me to say
As if there is any other choice
At the turning of the night from day
Our words of love in a silent voice

Each night as love played its own sweet tune
Exchanging thoughts set our world alight
Like magic cast in an ancient rune
Sleeping senses began to ignite
And we knew we had to find a way
For only love can make souls rejoice
So let the music sing the songs we play
In words of love in a silent voice

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
