Thought Clouds

The ways of love are not easy to find
When words must also be backed up by deed
That question echoes again through my mind
But now it is not her answer I need
Just mine; and to myself I’m never kind
I think too much it has been often said
I worry over nothing and lose my sight
With thought clouds gathering inside my head
While looking for answers that can’t be there
What if I think in a different light;
And face the challenge and take up the dare
Convince myself, no thoughts just wait and see
That the powers of fate are playing fair
And all will be as it is meant to be

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
