Silver Streams

In the glade whispers echo from the trees
As in their shadows we feel the cool breeze
Like caressed touches in a taunting tease
As from the summer heat we find our ease
And in the silence a lone leaf floats by
To dance past our eyes without sound nor sigh
And a kiss answers the question of why
As we embrace the love of you and I
When the sun falls behind the wooded glade
There is no reason left to be afraid
For as light shimmers and begins to fade
The night shall dance into a lover’s dreams
When we embrace gentle starlight beams
As we make love in the moon’s silver streams.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
