Sighing Kiss

In love’s kiss the spirit is shared with love
And two hearts begin to beat as one
Entwined in union beneath the sun
As two surrender to the stars above
Her hand in mine so it fits like a glove
While her eyes deny me power of speech
Her sighing kiss draws me into her reach
And now she is all that I can think of
My hunger burning deeper than Hades fire
Yet food no longer sates my growing need
Any more than water quenches desire
For like a vampire I must come to feed
To kiss, the kiss that takes me ever higher
For in that embrace our spirits are freed

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
