Desire Aches

The Poets' Garret

The Poets’ Garret

Love has taken my heart to be with you
From a distance to your arms’ close embrace
As in the moon’s shadow I kiss your face
Refuelling desire to feel fresh and new
Forgetting how long we have been apart
The long nights of being lost and alone
Without a chance to gently kiss your lips
For that’s all I want when I’m on my own
Yet we’re never apart inside my heart
Do not reproach me if my desire aches
In the grasp of the long and sleepless nights
When my senses are driven wild in verse
For I am feeling how hard our love bites
And building my mind to do what it takes

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
