A Breath of Fresh Air

In love there is the freedom to be self
Without walls of colour, gender or wealth
For love sees goodness in all that there is
The pearls of beauty found all around
If only the eyes would see beyond this
Existence; a heart must make its own time
To rise above devotions of despair
That stains nature in humanity’s crime
Above; where we can breathe in the fresh air
For love demands we must show that we care
And give loyalty through illness and health
As anything less is not worth a dime
Before seeking a lover’s lips to kiss
Let it be known to her heart you are bound

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
