Fate of the Moon

Love is the passion of choice
when enchanted masks are discarded
and the joys of the heart dance
to the music written
in a minor key of fantasy

The voice of love sings the melody
love, sweet love the conqueror
of misguided opportunity
now the tunes that echo the heart
with songs written in their own meter
to honour the goddess of the moon
the goddess of love

Oh lady of the fair lunar high
you who casts the fate of love
in the rivers of mutual affection
that cascade like glistening fountains
until the pools of desire overflow
and love must dance again.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
