Amor Deos

As I was walking around ancient stones
I felt your presence shudder in my bones
Like a caress of a late summer breeze
I knew the power of intense desire
As before you I fell upon my knees
My lips were hungry to taste the divine
Delicate sweetness to set me ablaze
As the god taking solace in your shrine
Now I pray in the words that sing your praise
My goddess if your want should so to please
Call upon my heart; I shall meet your gaze
And as I sip softly upon your wine
In essence it as we have always known
Within you my soul burns with sensual fire

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
