Evening Ramble

NaPoMo 2015

NaPoMo 2015

Autumn leaves scatter and dance as we walk
Only the trees can hear the words we talk
Each word a whisper on evening’s breeze
An echo of rhythm in the golden fall
Reflected softly in your silk chemise
I take your hand and press it to my lip
As we recline against a sturdy pine
I kiss you gently on each fingertip
To be your lover and to make you mine
Is my desire; here, now beneath the trees
Intimacy shared amid the small-talk
My eyes searching yours for a secret sign
For the sweet kiss that will give you my all
And I am lost in your heart’s tender grip.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
