The end as we walked through
The door not one but two
Our hearts no longer entwined
Too many harsh words shared
And love no longer paired
For love was not ours to find
You were my rain and sun
Yet it all came undone
Now we know love is not blind

Instead we walk away
And learn to face the day
Trying not to look behind
To was but cannot be
Today we walk out free
With memories to remind
Of better times before
Our dreams hit the floor
Because our hearts were so blind

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
