Sunset Trails

Photography by Joe Owens

The fantasy called love traced across the sky
A pathway leading to your gentle lips
While you graze my neck with your fingertips
Enticed, my voice to drift into a sigh
I’m home with you sat lightly on my thigh
My hand at rest so softly on your hips
As into evening our time swiftly slips
In sunset dreams that bid the day goodbye
Each working day must surely come to end
And follow this path, its every bend
For this alone the graft is worth my while
There is no money that I can e’er spend
That buys the time my soul can then transcend
Into the beauty of your loving smile.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
