Screw the Roses

A brief moment of love captured in blue
And the moment I gave my heart to you
Within the kiss I placed upon your lip
For that is when our souls entwined as one
Such passion that can never be undone
A kiss, that kiss that lust could no disguise
As desire danced across your smiling eyes
That look, the one that makes my heartbeat skip
It feeds my hunger so I want much more
As I bring you down gently to the floor
My mind in turmoil as my fingers skip
Over your skin and we both lose our grip
On a world that sees only the shades grey
But ne’er the beauty of the love we play.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
