When walking into a room for it
And forgetting what it could be
I remember the years are passing by
I forget it more every day
What was it? Who was it?
I cannot say because I have forgotten
As the years pass by
Long gone is youth when I was full of it
But never believed I had it
It was there in the palm of my hand
But I had no use of it
And now it has gone
With the years that passed by

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
