Dates: 27 February 1848 – 7 October 1918

Nationality: English

Title of Piece: Symphony No.2 in F Major

Brief Biography: Parry is best known for the choral songs ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘I Was Glad’, however he also composed five symphonies. He was the professor of composition and musical history at the Royal College of Music. Parry’s students included Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gustav Holst.
