One Day Sale

Swarm by Victoria Browne

Beneath the serene surface the solitary diners gather. Their senses alert to scent of an easy meal. Grabbing and grasping indiscriminately while pushing another aside. Threshing and pushing through the swarm to reach the best of the deal.

Beneath the beautiful veneer aggression is a hidden weapon. Painted faces with frozen smiles offering purity and gentle tenderness descend into a swirling mass driven to feed on the carcass until nothing remains.

One hand is grasping at silk the other pushing the competition to the floor. In the chaotic frenzy that resembles sharks proving their dominance of the seas there is no time to be nice. Bridezilla must get her white gown.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
