Rippled Sheet

Rippled Sheets

The Kiss In Bed by Toulouse Lautrec

I hunger for the sound over the phone
A craving echoed in lines from a pen
On paper the lingering thoughts of when
The tormented emptiness thinking alone
Will end. Each word becomes a stepping stone
Towards the love that feeds upon my heart
Yet sated yearning hunger from the start
That primal need within every soul
That only love can every make whole.
Each day I crave to leave a tender kiss
Reminding lips of our shared sensual bliss
Like flowing ripples on a cotton sheet
Echo the moment we became complete
To feed the hunger for our lover’s tryst.

About Jez Farmer

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
